BioCharacter's name:Chihaya
Series: Earthian by Yun Kouga
Background: Chihaya is an angel from the planet Eden. Born with dark hair and black wings, he has been separated, labeled a 'freak' by almost his entire society. Nonetheless, Chihaya was allowed to enter the angelic academy and graduated top of his class. He was adopted by the Lord Michael, one of the most important and influential angels on Eden.
For a long time, the angels watched earth, trying to decide if they should allow the 'Earthian' to flourish and continue populating the planet, or if they should simply wipe the species out, effectively removing the human threat and saving a planet in the process. To help with this decision, the angels sent envoys to earth, 'Plus Checkers' and 'Minus Checkers.' Sent as one of the former, Chihaya was instructed to find as many positive aspects of humanity as he possibly could. Embracing this job, Chihaya fell in love with earth and its inhabitants.
During this time, a black cancer began to spread among the inhabitants of Eden, a cancer that only Chihaya and a handful of renegade half-breed angels born with black wings were immune to. It was realized that Chihaya held the cure to this deadly disease and he was called back to Eden.
And despite Chihaya's best efforts, it was decided that the Earthians would be wiped out. The angel was devestated.
Back on Eden, Chihaya realized his feelings for his partner, Kagetsuya. Even though homosexuality is considered a sin on Eden, the two of them threw caution to the wind, but were later arrested and put on trial.
To save Kagetsuya from execution, Chihaya denied that anything had happened, then fled to Earth to begin a rebellion to save the Earthian. Later, Kagetsuya joined him, and the two of them, with the help of the renegade half-breeds, managed to save the Earth.
Personality: Despite being shunned as a child, Chihaya has a sunny disposition. He is always optimistic, and constantly tries to see the best in people. But despite this simple and charming exterior, he worries constantly, and dislikes others knowing about any difficulties he might be having. He opens up to strangers almost immediately, but often times has trouble expressing himself to those he cares about. When he is passionate about something, he throws his entire soul into it, and will do whatever it takes to protect the things and people he values most, even at the cost of himself.
